Manicanparty‘s self-titled debut EP is the collection of so many classic sounds: you get pulsating violins, thumping tribal drums, and one of the sweetest voices you will ever hear from lead singer Jess Corazza (think: Ellie Goulding). The EP has songs for lonely nights in the city as well as songs that could literally pass as war cries (in a good way). It is pop music with a discerning, savage twist and is easily one of the best free downloads and EPs of the year.
